Remember Suzanne Vega? You know, she sang “Luka” and “Tom’s Diner”? I think many of us thought she had nearly dropped off the face of the earth, like so many other 80s musical stars. Well, not so. She was on CBS’s Sunday Morning this morning, telling about the turmoil she’s had in her life. Since releasing the album Solitude Standing in 1987, which spawned the hits “Tom’s Diner” and “Luka”, she has released several others. Three years ago, Suzanne Vega released the album Beauty & Crime. Although it barely broke the Billboard Top 200 albums chart, it is acclaimed by critics as being her best yet. It appears that she’s getting ready to release another album entitled Close Up Vol. 1, Love Songs.

In 2006, she married her old flame, Paul Mills.
